Best casinos in the world By: David Field

Despite the recent growth of online casino websites and other only gambling games, there is nothing that can match the thrill and excitement of visiting a real casino in somewhere like Vegas or Monte Carlo. The atmosphere of some of these casinos – as opposed to the opportunity to gamble - is the thing that repeatedly draws customers back and always will do so long as gambling is legal. Here are some of the best casinos in the world.
• Foxwoods Resort Casino – Mashantucket, Connecticut. This casino is widely believed to be the largest casino in the world with over 7,000 slot machines and 100 poker tables. It is also home to the world’s largest bingo hall, so whatever your game, Foxwoods is likely to have it covered.
• Tropicana Casino Resort – Atlantic City, New Jersey. This is mostly famous for its slot machines, but also has a wide selection of other games to choose from. It has a massive 2,125 rooms and recently expanded its hotel to become the largest in New Jersey with over 3,000 rooms.
• The Bellagio – Las Vegas, Nevada. Often believed to be the “vintage” casino after setting the standard of elegance that other casinos have attempted to emulate ever since its establishment in 1998. It is constantly expanding and updating its image to suit current tastes, but still maintains that touch of class that is unmatchable.
• The Venetian – Las Vegas, Nevada. This casino has a fantastic classic design and although many people dislike the “fake” appearance, the atmosphere inside The Venetian is brilliant. It is also affordable for people who are looking to take a weekend trip to Vegas, unlike some of the other casinos in the city.
• Sands Macau – Macau, China. This is currently the only Vegas-style casino in Macau, but is likely to be the first of many as a large influx of casinos makes its way to the East. The design is beautiful and although this casino has no hotel, which is quite unlike most others, punters are still flocking towards it and it is becoming a huge success.
• Casino de Monte Carlo – Monte Carlo, France. This is the original casino. It has a very exclusive set of clientele, reserved only for the very wealthy, and this is represented in its style and grandeur. Many Vegas-goers might consider this hotel to have a stuffy atmosphere, but it is really vibrant and gets the heart racing.
• The Mirage – Las Vegas, Nevada. This is the benchmark for modern casino design against which all other casinos attempt to match. It hasn’t been updated in a few years, which some people argue makes it a little outdated, but the design is still brilliant and its authenticity is unmatchable.
• The Wynn – Las Vegas, Nevada. This is very much for the elite of society, with celebrities and executives visiting. Some would argue that The Wynn goes over-the-top with luxury and opulence, but its visitors would argue that this is just how they like it.

For the best online casino games, this author would recommend Littlewoods Casino. They offer a very wide range of casino games and tips for how to improve your game, as well as a free game section to allow you to improve your ability.
