Birmingham boasts one of the best nightlife in UK and the majority of the nightclubs, bars and restaurants are located in Broad Street. Broad Street is a ½ mile road that houses only bars, pubs, cinema, restaurants, nightclubs and hotels. It offers so much of choices that the biggest challenge can be sorting out the best places to visit.

As Birmingham has three universities so you can find a large number of teenagers loitering on Broad Street. In order to avoid young crowd and to deter them from drinking, many night clubs have increased the minimum age of entry to 21.

Gatecrasher - This nightclub is one of the most happening places on Broad Street. It has won many awards like Mixmag’s club of the year and Birmingham’s All Bar None Awards in 2010. It has four clubs, nine bars and six feature areas. It also offers students night every Saturday and the entry fee is £6. You can book your ticket online in advance. The standard entry fee for Saturday night is £8 and VIP ticket is £15.

Oceans - It is located at the corner of Hurst Street and just 0.8 miles from Broad Street. Inside Oceans there are two clubs, 5 bars, seven themed rooms and four VIP suites. It is not the most posh nightclub but it stills provide a sense of exclusivity if you are in their VIP lounge. During weekdays it attracts mostly students with cheap drinks and chart music.

Air – It is a multi award winning nightclub located in a former warehouse. Air is spread across three floors. In the ground floor they have cloak room, bar and oxygen arena and upstairs they have Nitrogen room and Carbon lounge. You will find good crowd over there and if anyone creates any trouble the bouncers are quick to disperse the trouble.
