Knowhow-Now Article

Who would have thought something invented in the 18th century would still be a staple item in every fashionitas' wardrobe in the 21st? We’re talking jeans here ladies and it’s safe to say that with a style to suit every shape and season, there is no reason why you can’t be dressed to impress while you are dressing down.

However, who says denim is only for casualwear? Rules are made to be broken, so why not try a pair of skinny high-waisted jeans for a night on the town. Perfect for curvy girls, when worn with killer heels or wedges they are almost guaranteed to accentuate your waist and lengthen your leg - what’s not to love about that?

If you do prefer a more laid back look, there is still no reason to skip on style. Bundling up in a cosy jumper and slinging on your boyfriend jeans in the winter to take the dog for a walk will keep you feeling warm and looking great. In the summer months you can team your baggy jeans with a form fitting vest and sandals - so simple and relaxed, but super sexy with a golden glow and tousled beach hair.

For the more fashion-forward ladies, there are the skinny and (for the very brave) super skinny jeans. Perfect for all the rock chicks out there, you can channel your inner Fearne Cotton by trying a pair of skinnies in an eye-popping colour like red or even animal print. Of course, you don’t have to be a rock chick to pull this look off. Skinny jeans go just as well with a buttoned-up blouse or flowing smock top. Tuck them into flat, knee length boots and wear with a chunky knit and t-shirt for a cute and casual daytime look.

Jeans can work in the office too (is there nothing they can’t do?). Mix up a pair of jet black flared jeans with a crisp white shirt and colour-contrasting tailored jacket. Add block heels and you have a perfect smart causal look. Plus, at the end of the working day, all you need to do is change into a cute embellished top, add a couple more layers of mascara and you’re ready to hit the bar for those after work drinks.

Basically, you can choose your jeans to fit your your mood. And with so many different styles of jeans available these days, you can change them (and your mood) as often as you like.
