If you don't mind the great outdoors, camping can be a great way to get your kiddies outside in the fresh air. It's also relatively cheap, as long as you already own or can borrow camping equipment. Whether you have your own tent, or would rather rent a caravan for the occasion, there are hundreds of camp sites available across the UK with children's entertainment centres nearby. Popular spots near the beach include Berwick-Upon-Tweed, with its beachcomber campsite located in the heart of the town centre right on the spectacular Northumberland coast. Campers can enjoy a beach holiday at a fraction of the cost and there are plenty of things to do and see nearby.
When you have children to consider, flying can be expensive. Fortunately, many airlines offer last minute cheap flights to many top European destinations and during the summer months. Some even offer cheaper fares for under 16s, making holidays affordable even during the school holidays.
