Most people are looking for them to be sleek and modern, so you should definitely invest in that if yours are a bit outdated. Finish attic and basement areas. It is a plus if your home has an attic and/or basement, but it is even better if they are finished. This is because they will provide more living space. While those areas are great for storage and such, people will love it more if they can use the space for things like a game room, man-cave, play area for the kids or a guest suite.
You may not be able to use all of the ideas here due to financial restrictions, but you should do your best to implement at least one or two. Your home may seem like the greatest place on Earth to you, and the key is to make others look at it the same way.
