Why Prostate Screening Is Important

3. Prostate biopsy. Rectal ultrasound and needle aspiration is then performed to obtain a sample tissue from the prostate gland. The patient will then go to the urologist's clinic for this kind of procedure. The patient may experience soreness and see blood in urine and semen after the procedure is performed by the medical doctor.
