Common Cures For Anxiety And Panic Attacks

If you suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, you’ve probably spent countless hours researching the various cures that can help you lead a normal life. You’re probably tired of getting panicked every time you get in front of people or just enter social situations, and you’re probably sick of feeling nauseous and light headed whenever you’re stressed. The good news is that there are many cures out there for anxiety and panic attacks. Not all of them work for every person. Therefore, you really need to research the various cures available and then work on trying each cure until you find one that works for you.

Drugs and Alcohol

Tip: If you are suffering from a lot of panic attacks, you may need to look at other medical conditions that you may need to deal with. Certain psychiatric conditions like generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder can cause panic attacks.

It should be noted that some people try to cure their anxiety and panic attacks with drugs and alcohol. Drugs and alcohol can lower your inhibitions and can help you forget about the anxiety and panic attacks while you’re intoxicated but that’s not really helping anything. You need to treat the anxiety and panic attack symptoms directly and that’s something that really can’t be done with drugs and or alcohol. Of course we’re talking about illegal drugs like cocaine and heroin. That brings us to our first cure for anxiety and panic attacks: prescribed drugs.

Prescribed Drugs For Anxiety And Panic Attacks

There are so many drugs on the market today that are approved by the FDA for curing anxiety and panic attacks. There’s Paxil, Prozac, Klonopin and more. Your doctor will need to examine you to see which drugs will help you. It really depends on the severity of your problem as well as your reaction to the various drugs available. Remember that if your doctor prescribes a certain drug and it doesn’t seem to work even after a few weeks, tell your doctor so that he or she may prescribe you another one. It may take some trial and error but eventually you’ll find one that helps with your anxiety and panic attacks.

Meditate And Deep Breathe Your Panic Attacks Away

Tip: Think about putting your experiences with panic attacks into writing. Try creating an e-book, a blog, or even go on speaking engagements.

It may sound kooky to you but meditation and deep breathing are great for curing anxiety and panic attacks. Some people are able to overcome their problems and lead normal lives without drugs of any kind just by meditating a little every day. Then, if they ever feel the anxiety and panic attacks coming on, they practice deep breathing exercises until the feelings subside. You can study up on mediation, deep breathing and even Yoga to help with your anxiety and panic attacks. It will probably take some time and lots of practice but eventually you will overcome these feelings and you will feel better and more at peace with yourself after mastering these techniques.

These are only a few of the cures available for anxiety and panic attacks. Do your own research and try to find one that works for you. You can overcome these feelings, you only have to work at it.
