Glass is another material that you can recycle and so is metal. Metals are particularly great to recycle as you can get paid for them. Another green change you can make is to switch out traditional light bulbs for CFL bulbs. While the CFL bulbs are more expensive, they will last a lot longer which makes them cheaper in the long run. Not only that, they use a lot less energy. These bulbs cost more than traditional bulbs, but you can switch them out a few at a time to save money.
You can also hang your laundry outside to be more green and to save money. When the weather is nice, hang your clothes on a drying line outside. This saves precious energy and helps the Earth, as well as your pocket book. While you may not always have this option, anytime you can use nature's heat to dry your clothes are you helping out the planet.
