How To Astral Project Using The Monroe Technique

Learning how to astral project, although quite intimidating for most people, is not a farfetched aspiration as each individual has the innate ability to perform astral projection at will. Fortunately, for unsuccessful projectors, numerous techniques can help. Nowadays, learning how to astral project should not be difficult because there are many resources available that can help aspiring projectors in their quest to explore the other side.

It is interesting to know that the huge majority of individuals who have trouble with some of the methods do so simply because of failure to relax completely. The inability to relax sufficiently appears to be more apparent on those people who are just starting out, largely because of fear. In most cases, the fear is due to the false impression that one can be hurt, or possibly even die, because of astral projection. The truth is, no person has ever come forward to complain about being harmed by projecting until this time.

One of the most basic techniques used in astral projection is the Monroe Technique. Learning how to astral project using this method is simple as it only consists of seven achievable steps:

  1. Relax your mind and body. One can use plenty of relaxation techniques to relax the mind and body, but the easiest one involves deep breathing and relaxing the muscles. This requires the individual to inhale and exhale deeply as well as to tense and relax the muscles one at a time.
  2. Practice hypnosis. Hypnosis is a state in which the mind and body are close to the edge of consciousness. Simply put, one is at the verge of going to sleep but is not allowing oneself to actually fall asleep. This condition can be attained by using the so-called “gazing method,” where one gives full attention on an object in the room while lying on the bed. The aim is to see the object even when the eyes are closed.
  3. Deepen your state of mind. At this point, it may be possible to notice various light patterns and even observe the room to be immersed in a purple-colored light. It is actually not necessary to focus on these light patterns, but instead, you already know you’ve entered a deeper state the moment you stop seeing the lights. In addition, as soon as you reach this point, you’ll be so relaxed that you won’t even be aware of your physical body anymore.
perhaps you shouldn't take it too seriously

  1. Enter a state of vibration. Many people who practice astral projection report that even during the first few stages of the projection, vibrations can already be felt. Most of these individuals believe that these vibrations occur just as their astral body begins to separate from the physical. Since this occurrence is perfectly normal, there is no reason to be worried when it happens.
  2. Control your state of vibration. By using the power of mind, one can steer these vibrations so that they can be felt all over the body. However, in order to bring these waves at will, one has to spend some time practicing “control” over them. Once you can control these vibrations at will, one is ready to leave the physical body.
  3. Control your mind. According to Monroe, in order to strengthen this control, one has to first practice partial separation. Even though you should continue to focus on the idea of leaving your body, you should only allow a foot or hand of the astral body to go.
  4. Separate from your physical body. At this stage, instead of just allowing a hand or foot to leave the body, one has to allow complete separation. Other than a minor adjustment, this stage is similar to the previous step. As your astral body starts leaving your physical body you should begin to feel as though you are flying or perhaps floating.

As mentioned earlier, there are several techniques that can help those who wish to learn how to astral project. But then again, remember no single technique that works for everyone. After all, every person is unique. Hence, in order to achieve a successful astral travel, one will have to look for a method that works well with one’s goals and abilities.

There is a false impression that one can be hurt, or possibly even die, because of astral projection. The truth is, no person has ever come forward to complain about being harmed by projecting until this time.
