The time we waste complaining about our days on phones and the web would be better spent finding things that take your mind off the issues of your day. Instead of dwelling on the day, reward yourself for making it through it. You could treat yourself to a special meal, watch a movie you have been looking forward to or simply contact friends and family to spend the remainder of the day doing something fun.

 

Another way you can learn how to be happy with your life is to better yourself. That spare time we were talking about could be applied to learning more about a topic of which you wish to educate yourself further on. This could be anything you choose from knitting or cooking to the theory of relativity. The point is to use time wisely to better yourself educationally at which point you will be happy with the improvements you have made and possibly expand that knowledge to other areas.

 

Another way to have a better quality of life through happiness is to exercise. It doesn't matter if you are overweight or not. Exercise is a great stress reliever and takes your mind off the issues of the day. You do not need to join a gym to do this as you can walk or jog around the neighborhood or a local park, listening to your favorite tunes and taking in the beautiful surroundings around you. Happiness is being able to cope and enjoy life. Your career, whether you like it or not makes you a success as jobs can always be worse than what you have. Use the time exercising to realize how much better you have it than others while you are improving your health and appearence by working out. There are no negatives here knowing you are making the best of your situation, and continually trying to improve yourself will certainly allow for a better quality of life when you realize you have discovered how to be happy.

 

As you can see, it's not difficult to learn how to be happy and improve your quality of life. It takes a simple adjustment to how we spend out spare time and make those activities account for positive change in your life and stop dwelling on the negatives as time has passed.
