I Want To Get My Ex Back

Well, nobody ever said life would be easy, and if they did they were lying. This is especially when it comes to relationships. Perhaps you have recently broken up with somebody and have been trying to go out so you could forget about them. But every night when you come home you feel like you're getting nowhere fast, and your thoughts keep coming back to one thing: you want your ex back.

You should know that this feeling is perfectly natural, and a lot of people go through this same thing after a break up. The tricky part is trying to determine if you really want them back, or if it's something else you're longing for. There are no easy answers here, but it's vital that you figure out if you still have feelings for them, or if it's something else you miss. For example, you may have a deep-seated belief that the only way to be happy is to be in a relationship. In other words, you may not be in love, but rather in love with the idea of being love.

Whatever the case may be, you have to be sure you really want your ex back before you start taking the following steps. They do work, but you should only follow them if your end goal is to get your ex back.

The first thing you need to do is break off all contact with your ex. That means no bumping into them "accidentally" at the places where you know they hang out, no emails, no sending text messages, no late night phone calls, and no relaying messages through mutual acquaintances. You both need time and space away from each other so you can come to terms with the break up. Your ex won't be able to do that if you're bothering them. And while you may have the best of intentions, if you overdo it, you will only push them further away.

Hold your head high! It's all too easy to feel awful after a break up. Your self-esteem takes a nosedive and you may not even know exactly how you feel, but you know you don't feel like your normal self. However, feeling sorry for yourself, or feeling as though you're unimportant isn't going to help you get over the broken relationship.

And the funny thing is that's exactly what you have to do if you want your ex back. You have to get over it before you can get back to it. I know that sounds like a contradiction, but it isn't. That's because you both need a fresh start. Also, you don't want to be dredging up all kinds of emotional baggage should the two of you work things out. You need to get past the past if you want a happy future. These steps, however, are only the start (a very good start at that). It's a good idea to invest a bit of time in discovering other methods for getting back an ex.
