The kitchen is the ideal location to begin removing clutter from the area. Begin by taking everything off the counter. This means it is time to clear them out too.

Move away any pots, pans and dishes that are rarely used. Place them in the box for storage now, instead of waiting until the last moment. The next room to consider is the bathroom. Consider removing any personal items out of view. Think of the home more as a staged model home instead of a place where someone actually lives.

You need to consider the perspective of the potential home buyer. They would much rather visualize their stuff on the kitchen counter top and inside the bathrooms, instead of your stuff. It promotes the idea that there simply is not enough storage space in the entire house.
