A proper position of the pillow is very important factor, for easy sleep ie it should always be below your head supporting your neck a little. It should not be placed too much below your neck or only below your head. Avoid using your sleep pillows under your legs.

The next important factor is the material used in design a pillow. You must be very watchful when you are selecting or purchasing pillow. You should check that the material used is not too hard or too soft, a proper balance between the softness and hardness is required. Several soft pillows are available in the market, you should purchase high quality pillow from the available options.

If the shape of the pillow is changed, after long use, you should immediately replace it, because changed shape reduces the softness and hardness ration.

The cushion must be at least four to six inches in height when set to support good head and neck. If the pillow is too high or too low, it forces the muscles of the neck to stretch. Tense neck muscles make the neck to feel the hard rock and when you wake up, the whole day will be a great pain for you.

The cushion should not be pressed or played with, as it may lose its elasticity and strength.

The sleep cushions should be separate per person, and you must not use other person’s pillow. There are several reasons for it, first thing is the sleeping habit of every person is different and the pressure exerted on the pillow will be different by different person. Another major reason is that the person may be suffered from some skin or hair disease, the disease may be contaminated and can be spread.

Avoid using too much decorative, bright color, sprinkled material cushions. It is always advisable to use light color, soft cotton material and simple cushions which will give you relax sleep.
