No ashtrays, cigarette lighters, or cigarette butts should be anywhere around your home. Make your guests smoke outside if they have to smoke. Just smelling smoke can trigger cravings so keep away from it.

Try to avoid getting into stressful situations when you're quitting smoking. Take some vacation time off of work if you have any saved up. See about starting your quit smoking plan on a day where you don't have to do much. Find a hobby that you can do when you'd usually be smoking. Instead of having that cigarette right after dinner you could read your favorite book instead. Keep in mind that you cannot have one more cigarette, because that one will probably lead to hundreds more.

Quitting smoking is something that is very hard to do. That's the reason why so many people are still smoking. Most people wish they never would have picked up the habit. It makes you stink, can kill you, and costs you quite a bit of money. It's a hard addiction to quit, but you'll be so glad you did once you get through the withdrawals.
