Going on a Halloween party as a couple can be sweet and fun. However, it’s really hard to artistically create a couples’ costume that has not been overly used up from one party to another. One of the famous Disney children’s cartoon characters, Beauty and the Beast, can be really great for a couples’ costume. Beauty and the Beast Outfits Can Be Made in a Day

Between Beauty and the Beast costume, Belle or Beauty’s costume is much easier to make. It can be made out of a prom dress. Just make sure it’s yellow or beige in color. It’s nice if this costume would closely resemble the actual cartoon figure. However, it depends on your choices as well as the availability of the prom dress collections at various local vintage and resale stores. You can even purchase costume wigs that will make your hair look similar to the Belle’s long curly locks. Costume jewelries are also available which would make you look even more attractive. Having those long opera gloves are also a great addition to your Belle costume.

Coming up with the Beast Costume is Tougher than Beauty’s

For the easier part of the Beast costume, your husband can utilize some of the clothes he already has. But creating the beast part makes your husband’s outfit tougher to create. So, here goes. At your local party store, you have to buy fake fur, double sided tape, cloth tape, a knit stocking cap, dark cotton work gloves and a rubber wolf or dog nose. Additionally, your husband should a long sleeve shirt, tie, blue jeans, dark socks or tights and shoes, which of course are easily available from his own wardrobe.

Start with the wolf’s hood. Cut the fake fur and make sure it fits with the stocking cap. Utilize the cloth tape to connect the fur with the hood. You also need to cut a hole in the fur piece so that it covers up your hubby’s head to get through. Then, come up with small triangular shapes for the ears. Stick it to the fake fur through a cloth tape.

Let’s head on to the wolf’s feet. Two similar wolf track shapes with pointed toes have to be cut. Make use of your husband’s shoes as a pattern. Cut the length from there. But be sure to add an inch margin all the way till you’re done cutting. Cut out an outsized “X” from the fake fur. Then punch two shoelace holes in front of the “X”. Let your husband put his foot through the “X” and into his shoe as well. Lace those shoelaces up through the fake fur. Now, you already have your husband’s monster-like feet.

The last thing to create is the tail which is just easy to make. You need to cut a long piece of fake fur. Create a tail-like form from this cut-out. Fasten its sides with the double stick tape. Attach it to your husband’s jeans. Then let your spouse wear the beast hood on his head. Set his rubber nose in place. And there you have it, Beast going with Belle to the ball.
