Knowhow-Now Article

When the weather cools down and the leaves start to change, it's time to relegate your favourite shorts and flip flops to the back of your wardrobe and usher in the new season. This year it's all about looking great and feeling comfortable and new fall trends make it easy to do both. Whether you're dressing up or dressing down, the hottest trends from this fall have got you covered.

Pull your trousers out from the back of your closet and hang them up beside your favourite denim. It's a good idea to have a few different styles in your wardrobe so that you're ready for anything and everything. Have a couple of different pairs of jeans in different washes, and one or two more formal pairs of pants as well as khaki, corduroy, or coloured denim.

On casual days or weekends when you're hanging out with friends, choose a simple crew neck sweatshirt and throw it on over your favourite t-shirt. Look for colours that suit you best, or stick to classic fall colours and choose deep greens, browns and greys. On warmer days, throw on a lightweight v-neck jumper and complement it with a matching t-shirt underneath. You can wear your sweatshirt or jumper with your favourite blue jeans or branch out and experiment with different coloured denim.

When you want to look a little more formal on those cool autumn days, look for a ribbed cardigan or soft cable crew. Cable crews are not only warm and cosy, but will help take your look to something that's a little more polished. Look for sweaters in light cream and grey shades, or throw on a dark ribbed cardigan with your favourite pair of slacks.

Sweaters with collars are extremely popular for the fall, so look for a jumper or cable shawl with a thick soft collar you can fold up or fold down. When you're hanging out with friends or relaxing on the weekend, throw on a hoodie or printed sweatshirt to look stylish even when you're sitting on the couch.

When you're at the office, wear your favourite button up shirt with a cardigan and fold your shirt collar over your cardigan to maintain a more professional look. If you're aiming for smart casual, pull on a dark coloured jumper over a light coloured polo or button up. Grey and navy blue look great together, or if you want something more classic pair a white shirt with any other colour.

Using a sweater as a wardrobe staple this fall will help you make sure you're looking your best while still keeping warm. Cardigans come in all shapes and sizes, so take some time to figure out what best suits your style and don't hesitate to choose your favourite colours when you go shopping. By choosing the best in mens knitwear you'll look be ready to look your best when the temperature starts to drop.
