Bring All The Guests In With Wedding Invitations

Invitations are important whenever people want guests to come to their events like debuts, christening and of course weddings. Weddings are perhaps the kind of occasion that everybody is waiting for and the very first preview people are going to have for such an event are the wedding invitations.

The invitation is going to reflect the couple’s plan and wedding. Therefore, by all means, the invitation must be a priority. There are many things that are needed to be done in order for every important person to know they are invited. Not sending an invitation implies the guest is not invited. Here are some of the things that couples need to prioritize so that they can successfully send out all the wedding invitations.

1. Save-the-date notice

Before even sending invites to people, make sure that you have already set a wedding date. After setting the wedding date, send texts, emails or even call people and tell them the great news and never forget to inform them that they are invited so that they can save-the-date. It might be surprising, but people have plans even for the dates next year; that is how busy people are. Determine the number of heads that you are going to be inviting and who these people are. Make sure that you have a list of the people who received your message so that you know who are waiting for an invitation. It really hurts when you get a save-the-date notice and not receive any invite.

2. Time is running

When you are dealing with invites, make sure that you send them not too soon and not too late. Think about it, people like you need to prepare for the wedding. There are even those people who do not own any dress or tux, thus they need to confirm whether they are invited or not and they cannot be sure until they receive the invitation. Wedding invitations need to be sent out at least six to seven weeks prior to the wedding date. Nevertheless, remember that sending invites too early is not such a good idea as jinx may happen and you are going to regret spending money for these invites.

3. Think of what’s going to happen

Sending invitations is not the only worry couples need to think of. Before sending invitations, engaged couples need to first visualize the design and the print because as stated above, this is going to be their first preview of the wedding. Hence, couples need to be very careful about the decisions they make. In addition, printing does take time and couples need to remember these. They need to save at least two months for printing before they sent out invitations.

4. Make sure of the count

Couples need to remember that some of the invited guests come as a group like families and officemates. Hence, the number of invitations does not necessarily count to the amount of invited guests. For say, there are 200 guests all in all and some these come in families so maybe the real number of the guest invitations that you need to print for is 150. However, make sure that you print out extras for last minute adding to the guest list. This is going to be a good step so that the couple can save time, money, and effort. If they want to reprint the invitation for new guests, they have to go to the printing company and the company might treat it as a new account thus making it more expensive.

These are just some of the many important things that couples need to remember when planning a wedding and sending out wedding invitations. If couples just follow these very simple steps and tips, they can surely bring all the guests in.
