Mileage

Out of the two hatchbacks, Maruti Swift is more frugal with a fuel efficiency of 14.5 kmpl for the petrol guise in city and 18.6 kmpl on highway. While the diesel version delivers a whopping 19kmpl in city and a staggering 22.9 kmpl on highway. As far as Figo is concerned the petrol variant runs 13.2 kmpl in the city and 17.5 kmpl on highway; however the diesel trim offers 14.8 kmpl of mileage in city and 19.7 kmpl of fuel economy on highway. Looking at these figures, Swift is the clear winner in this area.

Price

On the price front, Figo’s petrol base variant is available at Rs 3,81,300 and the top end model comes with a price tag of Rs 4,96,200 (all prices mentioned ex-showroom price). Figo diesel is up for grabs at Rs 4,79100 and the top end variant is available at Rs 5,94,200 (both ex-showroom price). Swift on the other hand is offered at Rs 4,44,616 lakh (base model petrol), while the top end version in petrol guise could be your by shelling out Rs 5,68,710 (ex-showroom price). The highly popular diesel trim is priced at Rs 5,53,982 and the ZDI model is tagged at Rs 6,47,904 (ex-showroom price).

The diesel versions of both the cars account for a huge chunk of sales. One thing which is common in both the cars is that they both are the backbone of their respective firms.
