Department of Engineering Mathematics

VISION:

The Department of Applied Mathematics is steeped in strategies giving students three core advantages. These are: communications skills, computational skills and mathematical skills. Along with these core skills, the department strives to train and educate its students in the tools, methods and strategies of solving real world problems. We believe that history shows that the question is not whether mathematics will be applied; the real question is when and where!

MISSION:

Department of Engineering Mathematics will strive continuously

To prepare the students for successful career based on a strong moral.

To prepare the students for successful careers based on strong moral and ethical foundations.

DEPARTMENT GOALS:

To up bring the student with science based thoughts and help them to remove the traditional blind believes.

To motivate the Faculty and Students in Research and Publication work.

To ensure faculty and staff development for effective teaching learning process.

To initiate the R & D work.

To enhance employability of students.

To improve the student’s Academic performance to 100%.

To improve Campus placements to 100%.

STRENGTHS:

One Senior Faculty with Ph.D in Mathematics.

One Lecturer with M.Tech. In Computer Science & Engineering.

One best faculty in the department of Mathematics among the applied science department.

BEST TEACHING PRACTICES:

Faculties are motivated & sponsored to do their higher education’s (M.Tech, Ph.D etc)

Research Forum is formed to do various research projects and also to cater the research needs of faculties.

Department library is having 50 books of relevant titles and having 4 journals of national and international.

Faculties are sponsored to attend national/international seminars workshops/conferences.

TEACHING LEARNING INITIATIVES:

Conducted various seminars & workshops to the Students beyond the syllabus contents

Mini projects are conducted for additional knowledge enrichment of the students in UG.

Research Forum is formed to do various research projects and also to cater the research needs of the students

Department is organizing various workshops and conferences for the students to upgrade their skills.
