Knowhow-Now Article

There’s nothing quite like a long journey to make you look your worst. Tired eyes, flushed cheeks and frizzy hair are amongst the common complaints; looking glamorous at a time like this seems almost impossible! It’s a wonder that celebrities manage to look so flawless when they arrive at the airport, but they’re lucky enough to have luxurious airport transfers in air conditioned limousines and stately cars (along with an entourage of stylists). If only the average person could afford such opulence!

Here’s some good news for the image-conscious traveller: you can, in fact, book cheap airport transfers in stylish, private cars - all you need to do is book a minicab online. Now there are so many eligible cab offices competing for business in London, especially to the major airports that surround the city, that the prices have been pushed down to a rate that often works out even cheaper than leaving your own vehicle in the airport car park. Plus, you get your very own chauffeur!

Most eligible cab firms will stipulate that all of the cars in their fleet must be no older than three years and must always be kept clean, so you can already be confident of a smart, stylish vehicle. You can usually select an executive car for a slightly higher price; imagine pulling up in a Bentley or a brand new Mercedes! You really would look and feel like a star. These vehicles will have air conditioning so you would be red-faced and sweating when you step out the car, nor with you have to battle with fellow passengers for a seat or for leg room. Trains and coaches may be cheaper than a taxi for an airport transfer, but they often result in a cramped journey, leaving passengers feeling stressed and harrassed. A private hire cab will not only be relaxed and spacious, but the driver will also know the route well. Modern taxis have the technology to keep updated about roadworks and flight delays too, so that’s another load off your mind.

If you want to look glamorous as you arrive at the airport, try donning a pair of sunglasses; they hide all manner of sins! If you had to get up very early to catch your flight, there might be dark circles under your eyes that you’d rather cover up. Wear something lightweight and dark-coloured (slimming and hides stains), preferably a non-crease fabric. With a few accessories like a stylish hand luggage bag, you’ll look great all the way to the departure gate!
