Copper is a metal used broadly in the electrical domains due to its high conductivity and corrosive resistant property. Various products of copper such as copper flat wire, bare copper wire, copper foil, etc. are in great demand in the market. These products are sometimes and absolute mandate and people cannot do without it. Due to various reasons bare copper wire is coated with PVC.

Polyvinyl Chloride is used widely to coat copper wire. The coating is easy to install, moreover it is very much affordable. PVC coated wire and cables come with great many benefits. PVC Coated Wire has a great advantage over bare copper wire.
PVC is generally used for completely insulating the electric cables. PVC coated wire plays a vital role in preventing the fire hazards; as a result they are very much popular in the electronics domain. They bring the much needed safety in the electric domain. With current passing through the bare copper wire in the house the risk of fire becomes obvious. PVC coating in the wire releases hydrochloric acid fumes. Chlorine can work well to eliminate the free radicals and delay fire.

Hence PVC coated wire is widely selected in the electric domain. The cable is also known to retain moisture which further protects the wirings from catching fire. PVC is known to have perfect corrosion resistance. It is known for its oxidative as well as insulation properties. The material is used for covering copper as well as aluminium wire products. The coated wire would last longer and come in a wide assortment of colors. As a result, it is also used to coat the wirings used in fences. These fences are popular in tennis courts, industrial security gates, etc.

Copper as a metal is actually irreplaceable. People have tried using aluminium in place of copper for electrical purposes however it just doesn’t work that well, in fact they are dangerous and are no longer deployed in electrical wirings. Various alloys of copper are also used nowadays as a substitute to copper products. These work well however copper has the best combination of properties required for electrical wirings. As a result this wire plays a great role in electrical and electronic domain.

The best thing about copper is that it is recyclable and can be reused easily. Copper can be used again; it can be melted, refined and remolded to make a large number of useful products all over again.
