The earlier history of Ranthambore national park

The Ranthambore national park was established in he year 1955 by the government of India as swai Madhopur game sanctuary. In the year, 1973, it was declared as a tiger reserve.In the year 1980, it was bestowed with the status of National park. Subsequently the Indian government declared the forests nearby as sanctuaries. In the year 1991, the two sanctuaries were combined together to form a tiger reserve called the Ranthambore national park.It is called by the name Ranthambore because a fort is located inside and it has a historical significance.


A big national park

This has a large geographical area of about five hundred square kilometers. This sanctuary is rich in fauna and flora. It is located on the plateau edge and on the northern and southern sides of the sanctuary, two rivers are flowing. One is Chambai River and other is the Banas River. You will find many lakes in the park alongwih a fortress. This will be spellbound encounter with nature.


Ranthambore – the tiger hub of India

The Ranthambore is a big tiger reserve and you can have a glimpse of royal Bengal tiger in this reserve. It has such majesty that wildlife lovers from all across the world are attracted to his park. If you are an adventure lover of nature, this national park is for you. Because of the large density of tigers in this region, you can easily see them during the time of the day and also during nights. Apart from this, you will have the opportunity to see blue bulls, leopards, jungle cats, sloth bear and many more.
