How To Get Started On Your Dream Body Today

Everyone has a mental picture of their ideal body. They sit and dream about what it would be like to have biceps the size of pythons and abs like a wash board. While most people entertain these types of fantasies, they never seem to be motivated to actually achieve these results in real life. Most people require some kind of epiphany or moment of motivation to get them started. If you have had enough of fantasizing about your dream body and want to achieve it, then let this article be the catalyst for you to start. Read the rest of this article for some helpful hints on how to begin your journey to the body you always dreamed about.

The first step you should take is to document your current fitness level and the goals that you have for your ultimate fitness level. Write down things like your measurements, how high you can jump, how fast you can run a mile. These types of things not only provide the foundation for evaluating how far you have come, but they also provide you with motivation when you think about quitting. Look how far you have come, don't turn back now. Write down several intermediate goals so that you can have something to be working toward every week.

Tip: Don't wrap your thumb around the bar when you do exercises like pull ups. If you just lay your thumb flat, your back will have to work harder to complete the exercise.

Once you have the set of goals, make yourself a calendar or a notebook that lists these goals. Use this document every day to help keep you on the track towards your ultimate success. While it may seem now like you don't need it, this will be invaluable to you when faced with the opportunity to quit for something fun, or cheat on your diet.

Hire a personal trainer. While you may cringe at reading this, it is a great way to get you started. You may think you can't afford it, and that is probably the case, however, many personal trainers will allow you to work with them for just a couple of days so that they can tailor an exercise and nutrition plan for you. Of course, this will be at a rate higher than they normally charge, but you will only need to see them a couple times and you will have everything you need that they provide without the commitment for long periods of time.

Tip: Switch out your office chair for an exercise ball. Just balancing on the ball without doing anything else improves core muscle fitness.

Keep a workout journal. This will allow you to see your progress and keep track of the exercises you are doing so you know where to start the next time.

Finally, take pictures. You will have all the information you need by following the steps above, but a picture is still worth a thousand words. You will be able to show off your accomplishments to everyone with just the flip of your pictures.

Hopefully, this article has provided you with the motivation and information that you need to get started on your path to your dream body. Motivation is invaluable in this type of endeavor, so take the hints here seriously. Good luck and remember to keep moving forward.
