Tip: Take care of yourself physically to get the most out of your personal development activities. A good diet, a lot of sleep and activity will give you more energy and help you get a healthier and better-looking body.

2. Seize opportunities as they become available. Most people regret more what they didn't do in life than what they did do, so start taking chances and taking advantage of all that life has to offer.

Tip: Do you feel like you drink too much alcohol? Are you a smoker, or do you regularly engage in something that is bad for you? Your body is sacred, and you have to learn to respect it. You can improve your life by replacing bad habits with good ones.

3. Avoid falling into a rut. The same old routine leads to boredom and that will stagnate anyone looking to advance their personal development agenda; mix things up so that you aren't just repeating the same days over and over. Accept change and welcome challenges.

4. Get together with friends. Enjoying the company of people you care about is one of life's greatest rewards so make the time to do it as often as you can. 8. Stop wasting time away. Putting things off because you are too tired or busy or just plain intimidated by challenges and changes will keep you chasing your personal development goals for ever! Make them a priority and work on them daily, no matter how crazy or overwhelming life may get.

Tip: Everyone makes unhealthy food choices every now and then. Just like eating too much cake can negativity affect your health, stress can also have severe detrimental affects on your body's health.

9. Don't be a television drone. Movies and TV shows were designed to give you vicarious satisfaction or excitement, which is fine for an occasional trip to the theater, but that's not how you want to sustain your emotional energy on a regular basis. The make believe world of Hollywood can keep you mesmerized and away from what you really need to be doing to reach real fulfillment.

Tip: Ego and self esteem can suffer as a result of failure when one is striving to make strides in the area of personal development. Treat failure as a chance to learn and grow.

10. Enjoy your spirituality. You don't have to practice any particular religion to enjoy being alive or delve into the underlying philosophies that represent your thinking. Take time to enjoy your accomplishments along with the simple act of breathing. Surround yourself with things that make you comfortable and relaxed and offer a feeling of belonging.
