Hammock Pillows To Nestle Your Head

Enjoying a hammock ride is one of the best ways to pamper yourself. However, what seems to be lacking? There you are with a perfect hammock hanging in a wonderful spot but you have numbing arms for raising them up to support your head. Don’t you want to increase the level of your comfort some more by propping up your head with comfortable soft hammock pillows? Don’t you think you are missing the most essential hammock accessory?

If you still do not have hammock pillows you are not totally enjoying your hammock. Aside from experiencing some discomforts, it is imminent that you can suffer from body pain and in all probabilities, a neck injury. Whatever position you prefer to enjoy your hammock, the ideal pillow is what you need to complete your lazing moment.

Different Types of Hammock Pillows

• Aircraft Pillow. This pillow is intended to be used while sitting up in the hammock. It is shaped like an hourglass that can perfectly fit the back of the neck. Such clever design provides the right support when one is in sitting position. It is very different from the ordinary pillows that are too big because they bend the head forward. This pillow type is widely used with hammock chairs that can be adjusted at any desired angle.

• Pillows for Lying Down. If you have the type of hammock that has enough room for you to lie down, fuller pillows are what you need. They are the most common and are similar to bedroom pillows. Choose the right size appropriate with the size of the hammock.

• Slouching Pillows. These pillows are used when you are in a slouching position. Pillows of this type serve as a comfortable nest for your head allowing your mind to rest together with your body.

If you want to try any of these pillow types, you need to choose from different sizes, fabrics, and textures that make up the pillows. So how do you know if you are choosing the right pillow?

Things to consider before buying hammock pillows

• Size. The size depends upon the size of your hammock. If your hammock can accommodate more than one person, choose a pillow that is large enough to be shared by all.

• Material. Examine closely the materials used in making the pillow. It is advisable to have pillows made from synthetic materials because they are weatherproof and mildew resistant. There are other fabrics used but you need to feel the texture if they are warm to the skin or abrasive. Avoid those made from cotton fabrics because they easily wear out after some time. While embroidered pillows are nice to look at they are not functional.

• Strings. Choose pillows that come with strings. These strings come handy when you want to tie the pillows to the spreader bar so that they will not fall off the hammock.

• Maintenance. It is best to get pillows that have reversible covers so there is less need to wash them more often. You may also buy those pillows with cover for easy washing in the tub.

• Shape. Pillows come in different shapes. Choose those that are rectangular because more than one person can easily share them. Round pillows are not as comfortable and they are not ideal space savers while used in the hammock. It is really a matter of personal choice when it comes to pillow shape.

The cleverest way of finding the right hammock pillows for you is to match softness with shape. They are just the best combination to ensure that your head finds a good spot to rest as your mind goes wandering off to somewhere unexplored by others.
