Some people call LDL “bad” cholesterol because it is the most hazardous among lipoproteins and the main contributor to increased cholesterol levels. This is why oatmeal is the number one cholesterol buster by nutrionists.


Fatty Fish- It might sound ironic, but fatty fish can help reduce cholesterol thanks to its high levels of Omega-3 fatty acids. It also lowers blood pressure and reduces the risk of heart related illnesses. It also reduces the risk of blood clots or plaque formation along the bloodstream, these plaques often trigger heart attack. Salmon, Mackerel, Halibut, Lake trout, Albacore tuna, Herring and Sardines are the types of fish that have the highest omega-3 fatty acids content.


Walnuts are also a good source of fatty acids that help in cholesterol reduction and lowers the risk of plaque formation.
