Goodness Brought By The Natural Products Association

Are you familiar with NPA? The acronym stands for "Natural Products Association," the first and largest ever nonprofit organization that focuses mainly on the natural products industry. The so-called natural products may be in the form of organic foods, food supplements, natural makeup or cosmetics, or vitamins and minerals.

The Natural Products Association is founded in 1936. The said organization has offices located in Washington, D.C and Beijing, China. In addition to their agencies, the association built another five regional offices located in different parts of the United States. These additional offices were being managed by twenty two board of directors that represent all the divisions of the nutrition industry. The main goal in building this organization is to make the consumers aware of the good benefits that natural products bring. Currently, NPA has 1,900 active members that are responsible in manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing, and distributing natural products such as supplements, organic foods, functional foods, and natural personal care and household products.

The Natural Products Association not only unites with large manufacturing companies but also with the small ones. All kinds of nutrition business confederate with NPA. The association plays a vital role on the regulatory and legislative issues in the industry. It also became very significant in the passage of DSHEA (Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act). This regulation gives balance between the needs of the consumers to know more about the effective dietary supplements and safety measures in taking them, and the government's good intention in protecting these consumers from using fake and unsafe nutrition products.

The Natural Products Association is the one responsible in facilitating different programs such as Natural Seal, GMP Certification, TruLabel, and
China Testing. These four programs have the same goal, which is to test the quality of different nutrition products and give certification or seal to the legitimate or genuine ones. NPA's advocacy is to make sure that consumers will have only the best and safest nutrition products that will supply their needs and improve their health. We are maximizing the use of the gifts of nature by taking natural products. These products will not only provide us good health but will also prevent the increase in our mortality rate. For you and your family's daily needs, it is best to choose natural nutrition and cosmetic products that are certified by NPA.
