The Natural Products Association was originally founded in 1936 as the American Health Foods Association or AHFA and was renamed in 1937 as Natural Health Foods Association representing the manufacturers, retailers and distributors? interest. In June 2006 the organization was renamed to its present name and as of June 2011 they are celebrating their 75th year of dedication and support to the natural products industry.
The association has several programs implemented to ensure that the quality and integrity of the products are top-notch. One of these programs is TLabel (True Label), this program focuses on the accuracy, quality and safety of products in the dietary supplements industry. The program helps ensure that products sold in the marketplace are accurately labeled because dietary supplements should always be exact when it comes to measurements and percentages of the ingredients in that product.
The Natural Products Association represents the industry through advocacy outreach with state and federal regulators and before Congress. NPA advocates for the rights of consumers to have access to products that will maintain and improve their health, and for the rights of retailers and suppliers to sell those products. The association provides a variety of other benefits for members, including discounts on shipping, health and product liability insurance and payroll processing.
This association plays a large part in keeping our bodies fit and healthy as we need these products to keep ourselves in tip-top shape. Plus having an active lifestyle and mind, Who knows what you can accomplish when you are in your best form and always at a positive disposition, even athletes give credit to their products because it has helped them perform up to their fan?s expectations. What more can be said, natural products are the way to go, don?t settle for anything chemical and go natural!
The National Products Association is still finding ways to help our manufacturers produce healthier substitutes for everyday food products, They even made a burger patty made of soy that tastes like pure beef. Now imagine that, it tastes, looks and feels like beef but it?s not.
