Halloween isn’t often thought of as a romantic sort of holiday, but it can become any type of day that you want it to be with just a little bit of creativity and effort. You may not be invited to lots of Halloween parties, or you may not even want to go to them. However, you CAN throw a Halloween party for two and have plenty of fun.
To begin with, come up with matching costumes so that you can be a “real” couple. These can be silly, scary or just plain naughty. A good example of naughty is Tom Jones or Casanova and a scantily clad serving wench. You may even want to try out Nurse and her Patient, or the wealthy plantation owner and his French Maid. At any rate, you get the idea.
Once you have the costumes figured out, use that theme in setting up the rest of the evening. Serve food and drinks accordingly and work into a little roleplaying that match your costumes. This can be not only a lot of fun, but also quite a bit sexy, which is exactly what you want for romance.
Whether or not you want to watch some movies is up to you. If you decide that should be on the agenda, make sure you have some on hand that will get you and your partner nice and close. This can be accomplished with some appropriate scary movies or some rather erotic ones. Either will get your body temperature up and let the heat take over.
Whatever you do, just keep to the theme of the costumes. That’s where the real fun and roleplaying will come in. You can have an entire scenario mapped out or just take things as they come without knowing what either of you will do next. That’s probably the most fun of all because of the mystery and the excitement involved. Let nature and your imagination rule the events of the night.
Basically, take what you know about yourself and your partner and build around that. You should have a good idea of what makes things heat up between the two of you. So use those things to make this Halloween night even more romantic. It’s fun to see each other in a different light, or as a different person, as the case may be.
Of course, you and your partner may not be costume people. If that’s the case, you don’t have to get all dressed up. You can simply plan a romantic dinner by candlelight and watch some great scary movies afterwards. For some people, that’s all it takes to have a successful romantic night together. If you’re one of those couples, just enjoy having an excuse to have a romantic dinner and then curl up on the couch or in bed while watching those frightening movies. Hold hands or cuddle close. This usually leads to a lot more fun.
However you decide to spend your Halloween with your partner, you can make it a special night to remember.
