Laser Hair Removal

All of us have unwanted hair that we have to keep removing, whether we like it or not. How does laser hair removal work? Well, the theory behind it is quite easy. The laser beam used is one that only targets melanin in the skin, that is, the ingredient in our system that gives our hair its color. In laser hair removal, the laser beam is directed towards the target area, and it is absorbed by the melanin found in the roots of the hair. This then causes hair to drop out. Of course, all this is not done immediately but requires repetitive sessions. Laser hair removal can be a bit time consuming in this sense. It is general practice to go to the nearby beauty salon and get that unwanted patch of hair waxed or threaded off, and leave feeling fresh and clean, but laser hair removal requires a bit more commitment than that. You need to be ready to visit your dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon for around 2 months before you see the results you want. But the end result is something worth the trouble, and so laser hair removal is definitely going to be around for a long time.
